The vessel is a fully fitted for the transport and handling of dry cement in bulk. Discharging is done pneumatically via one hose between the vessel and reception facilities. The cargo is pumped out by compressed air which is supplied by vessel’s integrated cargo handling equipment. The vessel is also able to discharge mechanically into receiving facilities ashore. Loading can be performed either pneumatically or by gravity. Dust emissions to the environment are eliminated by dust collectors fitted on board. Apart from cement the vessel can carry other commodities such as slag powder and similar products for pneumatic discharge. The vessel can also operate as a conventional bulk carrier and carry several bulk cargoes. When operating as a bulk carrier discharging must be carried out by the use of shore side cranes.
