Eagle is Built 1981 as a tanker vessel and converted to a heavy transportation vessel in 2006 at Gdansk Shiprepair Yard Remontowa S.A. in Poland.
The vessel is designed for 20 years of technical and commercial operation post conversion. This life expectancy is based on the significant upgrading that was performed in connection with the conversions, including large steel replacements, coatings and paintings, refurbishments of machinery and on the basis of expected maintenance as required during the operating life of the vessel.
